The 19th and 32nd crest gates at the Tungabhadra Dam were installed successfully on Thursday, completing the installation of three out of the total 33 gates.
According to a Tungabhadra Board official, work is currently underway on gates No. 1, 4, 11, 17, 20, 24, 26, 27, 28, and 33, bringing the number of gates under installation to ten. So far, 15 old gates have been dismantled, while the cutting of two more gates is in progress.
