In a recent development in Hospet, law enforcement has successfully apprehended four individuals involved in a string of motorcycle and scooter thefts spanning the past half-year. Authorities have seized an impressive haul of 14 two-wheelers, with an estimated total value of 10.82 lakhs, from the suspects.
The investigation unfolded when a report was filed on September 16 regarding the theft of a motorcycle in Mehbooba Nagar. Acting swiftly, on the 17th, Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) B.M. Suresh and his team began conducting routine vehicle checks in the vicinity of Bellary Circle. During their operation, their attention was drawn to four individuals riding two motorcycles, exhibiting behavior that raised suspicion. Subsequently, they were taken in for questioning at the police station.
District Police Superintendent Shri Haribabu B.L. explained, “During the interrogation of these individuals, crucial information emerged regarding a staggering total of 14 two-wheeled vehicles that had been stolen over the course of the last six months.”
Under the leadership of Town Station Inspector S.M. Balana Gowda, the operation was conducted seamlessly, with PSI Muniratnam, ASI BM Suresh, and their dedicated team playing pivotal roles in bringing the culprits to justice.
