The incident took place yesterday night at Hospet, Ballary district. Lalitha (30) was murdered on Thursday night by her husband Anneppa, (29). Anneppa is taken into custody by the Rural Station police who handed him over to judicial custody today.
The couple, who were married in 2006, have one son and three daughters. Annappa had repeatedly quarrelled with Lalitha because she was concerned about an immoral relationship.
Annappa had expelled Lalitha from her home five months ago. Anneppa often went to her wife place and looked after the children. On Tuesday (May 5) Lalitha living in 13th ward of dam area had returned home. On Thursday night, the couple had quarrelled.
At this time Annappa got annoyed and cut Lalitha’s neck from the axe in the house. A case has been registered at the Rural Police Station.
The body was found on a farm near PLC Camp in TB Dam area of Hosapete town in Bellary district. Annappa had escaped with his three children after killing his wife. But he is now in Police custody.
