Hospet Railway conducts awareness on women’s safety on trains.

Railway helpline number 182

Railway Protection Force (RPF) has started an intensive awareness drive called ‘Meri Saheli’ aiming to provide better safety and security to women passengers. ‘Meri Saheli’ initiative was launched in order to boost the security of female passengers during their journey. Meri Saheli team of Hospet conducted awareness about 182 helpline number on Sunday.

To provide proactive security to female passengers, a team of Lady Constables led by an Inspector has been formed in most of the stations including Hospet Station.

The passengers are also being informed about RPF Helpline No-182 for emergency and for instant help from RPF.

Moreover, all the ladies including the other traveling passengers have been requested to wear masks properly to avoid spreading of COVID-19. The drive is part of an ongoing initiative to facilitate female passengers in an environment in which they feel safe, secure and comfortable during their journey.
