The upcoming Hampi Utsav will feature renowned singers Shreya Ghoshal and Sanjit Hegde, along with popular film personalities Dolly Dhananjaya, Dhruva Sarja, Rachita Ram, and Rukmini Vasant. An artificial zoo and visual displays showcasing the grandeur of Vijayanagara are also expected to be major attractions.
These details were shared at a preliminary meeting held here on Tuesday, chaired by District Collector Kavita S. Mannikeri. She directed officials to discharge their assigned duties without lapses. A total of 21 sub-committees have already been constituted. She also emphasized that there should be no shortage of food and accommodation for visiting celebrities and stated that KSRTC would operate additional buses for tourists arriving from neighbouring districts.
Road repair:
It was reported that immediate steps must be taken to fill the dangerous potholes on roads leading to Hampi and clear the roadside bushes. The Regional Transport Department will also arrange a special ‘pickup and drop’ facility for senior citizens.
Zilla Panchayat Deputy Secretary Thimmappa was instructed to ensure proper cleanliness, drinking water supply, and temporary toilet facilities. It was further announced that eight medical stalls and 108 ambulances will be on standby at the venue to ensure public health is safeguarded.

Adventure sports, entertainment:
As in previous years, the Utsav will include adventure sports, sculpture displays, rangoli competition,s and poetry seminars. This year, a kite Utsav has been introduced as a new attraction.
