District in-charge Minister Zameer Ahmed Khan announced on Wednesday that this year’s Hampi Utsav will be organised from February 13 to 15 and released the official logo of the festival.
He said Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will inaugurate the event on the evening of February 13. A grant of ₹22 crore has been sought for conducting the festival. The minister later added that there are plans to try to hold the festival in November in the coming years.
Referring to the Kottur Rathotsava scheduled for February 12, he said suitable arrangements would be made to ensure security is not affected and clarified that the Hampi Utsav would not be postponed under any circumstances.
MP E. Tukaram, MLAs Radha Latha Mallikarjuna, J.N. Ganesh, and Bharat Reddy, Deputy Commissioner Kavita S. Mannikeri, SP S. Janhvi, Zilla Panchayat CEO Nongjoy Mohammad Ali Akram Shah, HUDA president H.N.F. Mohammad Imam Niazi, and others were present.
