31 Marijuana plants worth 7 Lakhs grown illegally in a chilli and cotton fields. The incident took place in Hosapete Taluk in Ballari District. The accused is reported to have fled the scene soon after the officials raided the place.
Officers of the Excise Department on Wednesday celebrated the Diwali festival by seizing Ganja worth 7 Lakhs from a bus going to Basapura in Gundlahalli, Hosapete Taluk in the district.
The farm from where the illegally grown marijuana was seized is said to be belonging to Devanna and Balaya. The police have registered a case against the owner of the yard and is also reported that the accused has fled the spot.
