A man, identified as Puneet Kumar, was apprehended by excise department authorities for vending chocolates infused with ganja along the main road in Vaddu village, Sandur, Ballari district, over the course of the past year.
Following specific information, excise officials conducted a raid on Kumar’s shop, seizing a total of 19.05 kg of ganja-laced chocolates packaged in 91 packets, with an estimated value of Rs 36,400.
Hailing from Basedi village in Chayal taluk, Kaushambi district, Uttar Pradesh, the accused had been operating a pan shop in Vaddu village for the past year. During questioning, excise officials probed Kumar regarding the origin of the narcotics and subsequently filed a case against him.
