Bringing Karnataka to the Global Stage
To attract international tourists, the government is working on a multilingual website that will provide comprehensive details about Karnataka’s attractions in multiple foreign languages. This project, in collaboration with the Ministry of External Affairs, aims to position Karnataka as a top global travel destination.
Karnataka International Travel Expo (KITE)
During the Karnataka International Travel Expo in Bengaluru, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah discussed plans to strengthen tourism infrastructure. The expo also hosted KITE B2B meetings, where industry leaders explored strategies to enhance connectivity through rail, road, and air transport. The introduction of sea planes aligns with this broader vision of seamless travel access.
Virtual Heritage Tours
In another tech-driven initiative, HK Patil launched Karnataka’s first 3D virtual tour of heritage sites. This project features short 3D films showcasing 20-30 ASI-protected temples and cultural landmarks, allowing people to experience Karnataka’s heritage remotely.
