Crestgate specialist N. Kanhaiya Naidu visited the Tungabhadra Dam on Tuesday to review the ongoing crestgate installation work.
The 18th crest gate has been installed, and the gate-lifting trial was carried out successfully. Installation work at Gate Nos. 4, 21, and 27 is now in its final phase.
“Installation of at least four crestgates will be completed by the end of January. The pace of work will pick up further from next month,” officials said.
