Ballari Municipal Corporation revolutionizes tax payments with convenient online options

In a bid to streamline and simplify the process of tax payments, the Ballari Municipal Corporation has embraced modern technology by encouraging citizens to pay their dues through various UPI apps like PhonePe, Google Pay, and more. The move is part of the corporation’s ongoing efforts to enhance citizen convenience and promote digital transactions.

The corporation has already implemented the eSweekruthi portal, offering citizens multiple options for payments, including offline bank challan generation and the KHAJANE-2 payment method, available both over the counter (OTC) and online. Now, citizens can benefit from an additional and user-friendly payment option through the Bharat Bill Pay System (BBPS).

One of the standout advantages of using BBPS is its accessibility. Citizens can now make payments for property tax, trade licenses (VYAPAR), water, and UGD connections (JALANIDHI) anytime, anywhere, using popular UPI apps such as PhonePe, Paytm, Google Pay, BHIM, Postal Bank App, and more. This move aligns with the digital transformation initiatives, making it more convenient for the residents of Ballari to fulfill their civic responsibilities.

Key Advantages of BBPS:

24/7 Accessibility: BBPS services are available round the clock, providing citizens the flexibility to pay their bills at any time, on any day, including public holidays.

Secure Transactions: Payments made through BBPS are processed securely through the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) network, ensuring the safety and reliability of transactions.

Instant Confirmation: Upon the successful completion of a transaction, citizens will receive instant payment confirmations on their registered mobile numbers or email addresses provided during the bill payment process.

Multiple Payment Modes: BBPS supports various payment modes, giving citizens the freedom to choose the method that best suits their preferences.

Complaint Management System: To address any concerns or grievances, BBPS has established a standardized complaint management system, ensuring efficient handling of citizen issues related to transactions.

This strategic move by the Ballari Municipal Corporation aims to reduce the hassle for citizens, allowing them to make payments without the need to visit offices or banks. The incorporation of digital payment options aligns with the vision of a smart and tech-savvy city, providing residents with convenient solutions for their civic duties.

In an era where digital transactions are becoming increasingly prevalent, Ballari Municipal Corporation’s proactive approach to embrace modern payment methods demonstrates its commitment to creating a seamless and efficient experience for its citizens.
