ACB raids GESCOM Inspector’s residence and office in Ballari

Based on the intelligence reports and tip-offs, the Anti-Corruption Bureau officials raided the house and office of the Gulbarga Electricity Supply Company (GESCOM) Inspector, Vijayakumar’s on Thursday in Ballari.

Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) sleuths raided nine other officials under suspicion of corruption. According to reports, the ‘Havambhavi’ house, the GESCOM office in Kappagalla, a house in Bengaluru and other 5 places have been raided, informed Additional Director General Seemanthkumar.

The officials stated that Vijayakumar’s properties of Mr Vijayakumar are being thoroughly examined.

8 of the ACB officials and other staff participated in the raid. According to the information, Vijayakumar was residing currently in his Havambhavi house in Ballari. It was very recently he got a promotion and had shifted to Bengaluru but still takes charge of Ballari, said the informers.

As per reports, the officials are still checking files and documents from the other raids as well. Meanwhile, as per reports, RP Kulkarni, Chief Engineer, Karnataka Rural Infrastructure Development Board (KRIDB) Bengaluru head office has properties worth Rs 15 crore. The officials have come across his apartments in Rajajinagar, Jayanagar and Banashankari in Bengaluru and houses at Mysuru which have been given out for rent.
