Residents of mining affected villages in Hosapete taluk have an opportunity to receive government financial assistance for livestock farming. The Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services has invited applications from eligible beneficiaries for subsidy under various animal husbandry schemes. Farmers and livestock rearers living in notified mining affected villages can apply and avail financial support to start or expand livestock related activities.
The subsidy aims to improve the livelihood of families in mining affected areas by encouraging dairy farming, sheep and goat rearing, poultry farming, and other livestock based occupations.
