Former Karnataka minister B Nagendra, who resigned amid a fund misuse case linked to the Valmiki Corporation, could be reinstated in the state cabinet soon. Sources indicate that the upcoming AICC meeting on June 6 in New Delhi may consider his return.
The meeting is expected to focus on cabinet reshuffles or expansions in the state of Karnataka. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah had previously assured the public that Nagendra would be brought back into the cabinet. Nagendra has also reportedly sought support from top AICC leaders, including Rahul Gandhi, for his reappointment.
Amid rising speculation, attention now turns to whether the party high command will give the green signal to Nagendra’s comeback, especially given his stature within the Valmiki community.
