Around 50 tourists from Ballari who had travelled to Dubai on a tour are reportedly stranded due to the prevailing war situation and are unable to return to India.
The group had departed from Ballari for the trip and was scheduled to fly back on a nine-hour flight on Saturday night. They were expected to reach the airport by noon. However, following the declaration of war, the airport was placed on high alert.
The stranded tourists have contacted MLAs Bharat Reddy and B. Nagendra, urging them to intervene. They have appealed to the Union Ministry of External Affairs to take necessary steps to ensure their safe return to India.
